I found a FSBO listing that intrigued me as I was interested in acreage as well as a well built smaller footprint home. Pete also represented the Seller, which allowed them peace of mind, as they had already moved and relocated out of state. The closing was a smooth and professional process as well. I am a first time home buyer and in less than 4 weeks, I now live on the most beautiful parcel of land that I only could dream of. I would definitely recommend Peter Hammes as a realtor. And I will share why. In May of this year I found some land for sale that I was interested in. The realtor I was using wasn't returning my phone calls which irritated me. With the market the way it is these days you have to move quickly. So I took it upon myself to call the listing realtor company. And that's when I met Peter Hammes. He arranged for me to meet him the following morning. It turned out that this particular property has its concerns. These concerns were discovered by Peter's investigating skills and determination. Peter went out of his way to talk to a town planning commissioner and he arranged a meeting with a land engineer. Needless to say I now have an understanding of site borings and topography. Peter worked to find all of the answers to our questions. Needless to say we didn't purchase this particular piece of land. But a few weeks later I found land on Marketplace for sale. I contacted Peter and he got right on it. He got in contact with the seller. Did all the negotiations and necessary paperwork. And we are now owners of our own dream land. I can't say enough good about Peter. He's trustworthy, informative, timely, determined, professional and personable.
